Kitchen Location – South-east corner of the home is ideal. If that's not possible, north-west works as a secondary option.

Sink Placement – Water and fire shouldn't be on the same platform or directly next to each other. Place the sink in the north-east area of the kitchen. Water (north-east) and fire (south-east) stay balanced.

Storage & Overhead Cabinets – Heavy storage, grain containers, and overhead cabinets should go on the south or west walls.

Windows & Ventilation – East-facing windows are ideal. Fresh air and morning light keep the kitchen lively and the cook happy!

Got a slightly narrow kitchen space? The parallel layout works beautifully two counters running along opposite walls. Here's the Vastu trick: keep the cooking platform with stove on the south-east wall and the washing area with sink on the north-east side of the opposite counter.

This creates a natural Vastu "zone" separation. Fire element on one side, water on the other. The cook faces east. Everything flows.

If you're lucky enough to have a spacious kitchen in your 3BHK or 4BHK, the U-shaped layout gives you maximum counter space and storage. For Vastu compliance, the logic stays the same stove goes in the south-east zone, sink in the north-east, and heavy storage along the south and west walls.
